You won't make any artwork decisions until you see your portraits. Your reservation simply secures your date and is applied as a credit toward your finished artwork at your View & Order appointment.
Monday through Thursday reservations are $200.
Friday and Saturday reservations are $400.
Please note: All portrait session reservations are non-refundable, but remain as a full credit toward artwork. We want you to love what we create.

Our portrait artists will select the single most artistic image from your session, the one that best captures the true essence of the subject, crafted into a finished print you may keep or apply toward wall art, albums, treasure boxes, or curated collections at your View and Order appointment.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT
Do I need to pose myself or will the photographer guide me?
Elizabeth has been photographing for over 34 years and is an expert at posing. Elizabeth also has a BFA in Ballet and was a ballet dancer for 26 years, you can relax knowing she is a stickler for technique and perfect posing.
INVESTMENT
What does the reservation deposit include - and do I have to buy?
We're gifting you the experience; there's no session fee. Your deposit holds your date and is applied in full toward your artwork. It includes the planning support that makes the whole experience feel calm: guidance on location, how to style your session, how to prepare, and what to expect. As for buying, there's no pressure and no obligation, but fair warning...you will LOVE what Elizabeth creates. You won't make any decisions until you see your portraits at your View and Order appointment. The deposit is simply the moment you stop postponing what matters.
GETTING STARTED
How do we get started, and what happens first?
After you’ve booked your experience, we’ll start with an in-studio Consultation Appointment. We'll talk through your personality, what you're hoping to feel when you see your portraits, what to wear and what to bring and what you'd love to live with in your home. It's where clarity begins, so you're not guessing, and you know exactly what to expect before you commit to anything. Most clients tell us the consultation itself felt like a relief as it answered all their questions and planned the session in advance.
BEFORE YOUR EXPERIENCE
How should I prepare for my session?
The consultation appointment will cover everything you need to know before your session. If you have questions, feel free to make some notes so you don't forget to get all your questions answered.
DURING YOUR EXPERIENCE
Will other people be watching during my session?
Our studio is private by appointment, so there are no other people in the camera room during your session. Occasionally, Elizabeth will need an assistant to help. If you bring a friend or family member, they are often the first to volunteer, but if you come alone, Elizabeth's assistant will be nearby to help when needed.
WHAT TO WEAR
What should I wear for my session?
We will go over all of this during your consultation. Clothing is a very important part of the finished product and should complement you perfectly.
VIEWING AND ORDERING ARTWORK
When do I see my portraits, and how do I choose artwork?
You'll see your portraits the about a week to 10 days after your session. After your session, we will schedule your View and Order appointment, where we guide you through finding your favorites and choosing artwork that fits your home and what you want to feel every day. You're not left alone with a gallery and a hundred decisions; we help you choose well. This is the only time during which your studio credit can be applied toward your artwork, so it's the ideal moment to choose everything you truly want to bring home. Please make sure all decision makers are present so you can choose together with confidence. Plan for about one hour for the Portrait Experience and 1-1.5 hours for the View and Order appointment. Most artwork is delivered within 10-12 weeks.
THE SELECTION EXPERIENCE
Does everyone who will be deciding on artwork need to be at the View and Order appointment?
Yes, please. We ask that all decision makers be present at your View and Order appointment. This is where your retainer and studio credit are applied, and where all artwork selections are made. Having everyone there means you can choose together with confidence, and no one feels left out of a decision they care about. If you have any concerns about scheduling, bring them up at your consultation, and we'll find the best plan.
INVESTMENT
How much do most families spend, and are payment plans available?
Artwork for the wall starts at $1,300 before any credits are applied, and most families invest between $2,500 and $5,000, depending on their selections at their View and Order appointment. Payment plans are available; we'll keep it simple and clear, and you'll know all your options before you decide. We accept cash, check, card and AfterPay.
WHAT WE CREATE
Do we receive digital files?
We don't deliver a folder of every file, and that's intentional. Instead of leaving you to sort through hundreds of images alone, you'll see your portraits and choose your favorites with Elizabeth's guidance at your View and Order appointment. The end result isn't a hard drive of maybes. It's finished artwork - a wall portrait, a storybook album, or a portrait box - that has a real place in your home and your life. Social media-sized digital files of your finished portraits are offered, so you can share the ones that matter most. That's the difference between a memory that fades and a legacy that stays.
OUR LOCATION
I am outside of San Antonio. Is it worth the drive?
Clients come to us from Corpus, Brownsville, Lubbock, Houston and Dallas all the time, and the experience is a big part of why the drive feels worth it. IF you are a couple hours drive from us, we can schedule you for a SAME DAY View and Order appointment. You come in, we create your portraits, and you select your portraits right then...no second trip, no loose ends. Our studio in San Antonio is a private, calm space that's intentionally different from what you'd find closer to home. For the clients who want something that truly matters, the drive is part of the decision to do it right.
